sick of explorer.exe?

hmm, as of late I was thinking.. wouldn’t it be nice to a have a tabbed explorer?
so I started searching.. I used a couple, but I settled on one. Xyplorer

it has nice things like: each tab has a ‘home’ you press the home button and it transports you to your home for that tab.. for example you can have a Music tab, its home is the root of your music directory, another tab could be your documents, another could be a shared drive.. and so on.

the visual filters are great too, the search engine is fantastic.. it finds things very quickly and is integrated into the program along with a load of other stuff in the tabbed info panel (Ctrl+F12)

anyway…

stuff and pancakes..

well the Meeting went well last week, our testbed was acting up, but we got it working last Friday. hurray!

I stuck around in limerick for the weekend and invited the folks down for dinner on Sunday. Watched the Ireland-Wales game and with England losing to Scotland the Six nations is up for grabs along with the triple crown.

Shelly, L-man and I went to driving range last night, each of use got 100 golf balls and began smashing the little yellow/white testbed like balls. It was great fun! afterwards L-man got a craving for Subway on the way home we stopped at the new subway at the groody-student-haven place. Subway is nice, the rolls are plenty big and you can fill them up with loads of stuff.

PS .. today is shrove Tuesday, so that means PANCAKE.. everyone is invited as usual, just bring fillings.. 8pm ish.

Loughrea made it to junior all-ireland final yesterday, most of the hurlers that lost against Portumna were playing football yesterday.. same result. Hard luck lads.

This weekend consisted of watching Utd. lose against Liverpool, emergency phone call to come home and build walls, which I did and ended up putting in the bath also. Last but not least this weekend brought the arrival of two new finger puppets. Many thanks to O!! ps. the zebra is evil.

Rome..

Shelly and I went to Rome for a week, we both needed a break and boy was it good trip. We pounded the streets of Rome for 5-7 hours everyday and we got to see..
Colleseum, St Peters Basilica, Roman Baths, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Palatine hill, Trevi fountain… the list is endless. Flying in and out of Cork is grand (getting out of Cork City can be difficult!! – Damn one way streets and _Badly_ sign posted roads).

We went to see Roma play in the Stadio Olympico (they won 3-0) and to see the orchestra play in the new Auditorium. The food was fantastic, the wine divine!

I have some pictures which I’ll upload at a later date. The best part was the tour of St. Peters tomb beneath the basilica – thanks to Fitzy for recommending it.
