did you know..

did you know..

I recently got a thermometer (for no particular reason) .. did you know:

- that porridge comes out of the microwave @ 85C (based on 800W microwave oven for 2 minutes)
- that boiling water from a kettle poured into a cold mug is about 93C?

do you ever wonder what the temperature is of certain things? if so – post a comment and I’ll get measuring!

  1. hehehehe – try the fat used for frying chips or maybe the deep fat fryer – that’ll test your thermometer!

On a more realistic note did you know that chicken should be cooked to 82oC according to http://www.superquinn.ie/multi/default.asp?itemid=150&multiItemId=217&section=Nutrition+at+Superquinn

  2. how about the temperature of the bullshit spewed forth by project managers who don’t know what they’re talking about.
