My uncle and I have been talking about climbing Croagh Patrick for over two years. We finally got around to actually doing it last Saturday (the day before the pilgrims arrive). It wasn’t a spiritual thing for me, but I have to admit I did say a prayer or two while on the top, especially remembering those who have gone before us – you really mean them too after climbing for 1h20m. It was a hard climb but enjoyable in the end. It also proved I’m not as fit as I think I am.. I might go swimming to balance out the soccer.
