All gone!

It’s been a while.. then again it’s been busy.. brief round up in no particular order :

I got the stitches out so I can now go swimming and get physio! woohoo!
Back at home, I’m playing with a astronomical telescope – it can hook up to a pc so I’ll try grab some photos and blog them later. I’ll miss the lunar eclipse for 3.26am on the 21st of feb – maybe next time.

Work wise has been really busy. I’ve been busy with papers and applications for the future. Hopefully one or two will get accepted I’ve been to Dublin for a couple of meetings and a lot more in UL.
I’ve booked flights & hotel for conference in Marseille (anyone been there ? is it nice?). I’m only there a few days (4-7th of March) but I’m looking forward to it. Later in the month I’m off to Innsbruck for another conference – it’s a tough life being a researcher!

We got some new GPS toys in the lab : a HTC Touch Cruise (really cool with Touch Flo and PointUI), bluetooth GPS receivers and a Sony-Ericsson’s GPS receiver (great for training).

Since my last blog entry Lent has started – gave up a load of stuff.. not sure how wise that was in hindsight.

I finally got up to Dublin to see my nephew.. he is now 1 and can say ‘All gone!’ . I gave him a present of a soft turtle toy from FAO Schwarz but since turtles don’t flash, make noise nor move it was ignored.

I’m off to TechLudd on Thursday – I’ll post on how I got on.
